The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a multi-billion dollar organization consisting of nearly 285 autonomous retail Co-ops with over 18,000 employees throughout Western Canada. Co-ops are locally-owned, with their roots in the community. Not only do Co-ops share their profits with their members, but Co-ops also support their communities through donations and involvement with various associations, clubs, committees, sports groups, and events.
The One-to-One Department Manager Training Program provides hands-on learning in a mentorship setting, intended to develop individuals for management responsibilities.
ONE-TO-ONE MANAGER TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERS:
• Mmanagement training in a variety of commodity departments including Bakery, Deli, Meat, Produce, Gas Bar/C-Store and Home Centre.
• A customized training plan that establishes key performance areas and responsibilities, time lines, and progress reviews, relevant to the specific commodity.
• Relevant training and experience in the following areas: operations, buying'ordering, inventory control, merchandising, marketing, human resources, supervision and training, and service management.
• A variety of training experiences in key performance areas assignments, quizzes, progress reviews, hands-on learning, and off-stie seminars.
• Placement in a management position.
• A training duration of 4 months to 6 months (some exceptions apply).
KICK-START YOUR CAREER THROUGH EXPOSURE TO A MANAGEMENT POSITION.
ELIGIBILITY
• Post-secondary technical training is preferred but not required. Consideration will be given to a candidate's technical competency and experience.
• Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be service-oriented, and desire a management careet.
