ABOUT US
The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a multi-billion dollar organization consisting of nearly 285 autonomous retail Co-ops with over 18,000 employees throughout Western Canada. Co-ops are locally-owned, with their roots in the community. Not only do Co-ops share their profits with their members, but Co-ops also support their communities through donations and involvement with various associations, clubs, committees, sports groups, and events.
The CRS is committed to promoting an environment that encourages ongoing personal development of all employees.
THE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OFFERS:
• Summer employment to students who are enrolled in a diploma or degree program.
• Career opportunities in a variety of commodity areas including Gas Bar/Convenience Store, Food, Agriculture, Accounting, Pharmacy.
• Training for a rewarding management career.
• A customized training plan for the length of a student's work term.
• Experience and development of key management skills specific to the commodity area in which students will be working.
• Work term placements for Co-operative Business Program students.
• Employment and continuing management development for post secondary graduates upon completion of their degree or diploma.
• Tuition reimbursement paid to students two years after graduation. Students are eligible to receive 75% of their final year's based on full-time CRS employment.

ELIGIBILITY
• Students must have successfully completed one year of a two-year diploma program or two years of a degree program.
• Students must show strong leadership qualities and possess excellent interpersonal skills, along with the capability of becoming a future General Manager within the CRS.
