Hello and welcome to our Grocery Department. We take great pride in what we do and whom we do it for. There are many places to buy the same products we sell, and we know that to earn the patronage of our member owners, we have to be something special. Our focus, priorities and goals are as follows:
• Greet customers by name with a sincere smile and a hello.
• Do whatever you can reasonably do to satisfy a customer.
• Never say, "It's not my department."
• Carryouts are routine quantity, children, weather
• Have umbrella and snowbrush used for carryouts.
• Telephones answered in a warm, friendly tone.
• Be fanatical about our customers get through our checkouts quickly.
• Any undue delay at a till that is our fault will mean the customer receives an apology and anything the server deems appropriate.
• If an item does not scan, always accept the customer's price.
• Customers are always first. Visiting with coworkers last.
• Our work comes after all customers have been processed through our checkouts quickly and efficiently.
• Have our customers marvel at how clean our premises are.
• Refrigeration cases will be sanitized daily, including mirrors & chrome.
• Have our customers perceive the best value is at our store.
• On contentious items, to be no more than +/- 5% within our trading area.
• Products sold are backed up with our no hassle guarantee.
• Use our membership benefits; co-op equity and cash back programs to guarantee the lowest net price.
• Carry as many specialty and customer requested items as possible. Do whatever it takes to acquire special requests.
If we can live up to these desired goals, we feel this business will earn and be worthy of our customers' support. While we understand you "cannot be everything to everyone", we know that patronage is determined by how much we care. And we care a whole lot.
Our Grocery Department is always receiving specialty food items such as African, Mexican, European and Celiac. We have gift baskets available every day, but if you would like something special we can do that too. We have cellular and long-distance phone cards, postage stamps, copy center, lottery, cards and magazines. We now have available, prepaid Mastercards. These are great if you have bad or no credit, for students who require a little help from Mom and Dad or for shopping on line. You put the amount on the card and only that is available to use - there is no interest charged. Stop by our Customer Service counter and we would be happy to help our with any of your questions.
